Dance in the rain
Some time I
I don’t know why
Our love just dies
It makes me wanna cry
We can do better -than this
I remember…
Our first kiss
Times have changed
And we’ve grown apart
But baby I know
The flame
Still
burns in your heart
We’ve got to stop playing- these games
Enough is enough
Baby There’s No one’s to blame
take my hand
let’s Wash away all the pain
I’m asking you baby
Let’s dance in the rain
Let’s dance in the rain (let the rain fall)
Let’s dance in the rain (let the rain fall)
Let’s dance in the rain (let the rain fall)
(repeat)

Time to pay
Was gonna jump
Into the water
But it was too deep
Was gonna dive
off this cliff
but it was too steep
was gonna walk out this window
and fall wear I may
I lost my nerve
There’s gotta be a better way
Young is easy old is hard
It gets trickier with ever new card
The light in the tunnel has gotten really small
It’s getting harder to get up from the falls
Dilute the reality by chemical means
Twist all your morals be part of the scene
Live for the moment
All we have is today
Never let your demons stray too far away
In the end when they put your bones to lay
It will be the time to pay.
So, run up that tab ….

Wide open spaces
Give me wide open spaces
Undisturbed places
Mountains and pristine streams
Places no one has ever scene
Surround me with trees
Throw away the keys
That’s were ill be
Deep in the country
Toss my ids into the dump
Ill watch the clouds roll bye
Sitting on my stump
I won’t need no TV or phone
Cause I ain’t coming back
I’m making this my home
The rat race
Was getting out of hand
I was just a dog chasing his tail
Do you understand
Then one day I looked around at all my stuff
Seems like I could never have enough
God put me here
Not to punch a clock
He put me to enjoy life
on this magnificent rock
Toss my ids into the dump
Ill watch the clouds roll bye
Sitting on my stump
I won’t need no TV or phone
Cause I ain’t coming back
I’m making this my home
The rat race
Was getting out of hand
I was just a dog chasing his tail
Do you understand
Then one day I looked around at all my stuff
Seems like I could never have enough
God put me here
Not to punch a clock
He put me to enjoy life
on this magnificent rock

Young unsung American fool MWL
Everybody fighting me
Always wrong and righting me
They try to judge me
But they can’t budge me
Everybody Yah everybody
Everybody’s telling me
Pushing and selling me
Arranging and exchanging me
Trying hard to change me
Everybody yah everybody
Everybody’s dressing me
Always second guessing me
No one really talks to me
they can’t rock with me
Everybody Yah everybody
I’m the young unsung American fool
Leave me alone our I’ll lose my cool
Yah Everybody
Wake me up when we can all live together
Break it
You can never say never wake me up
And let the music play
Check it out
Tomorrows gonna be a great day
For everybody Yah everybody
I was the young unsung American fool
Too everyone

I’m the young unsung American fool

I’m the young unsung American fool
Leave me alone or I’ll lose my cool

Carpenter road
This country road doesn’t go any ware
It just dances with the trees caught up in the breeze
Can’t you here
Here comes another summer storm
The settlers cut down the maples
Carved a hole right through this valley’s soul
Dragged by rope teams of oxen
To build there houses down by the lake
A small beginning
It seemed so fitting
To call this trail
Carpenter road
The Indian river breathed life into silver lake
People came from all over to claim their stake
Cattle came then came the children
Then the schools
And a village green
The place was so civil
The great American dream
Cut right out of a Normal Rockwell scene
Carpenter road all the things you have seen
If these old stone fences could talk
What dreams did they have?
What hopes and what fears
What things made them laugh
What songs brought them tears
Well the population grew
And the crops grew tall
They were a mixed community
But they were one for all
The Mayor cut a deal with the railroad man
To grow this town needed a stop
And in the blink of an eye
They were done and
the champagne bottles popped
but soon America was headed to war
and all the young men went
but they wanted more
ration steel and anything to help the war
the strong women steeped up and
proud Americans to the core
mother and lover all waiving the boys good bye
Saying I love please write as they cried
You can hear them marching in their civilian clothes
Down they all wen
Down Carpenter road
Well they’d get the new
The boys would win there was no doubt
But no one ever counted on a drought
In the summer of 43
The women worked so hard
To put out the fire
The winds were to strong and 2 days later they lost their home
In the morning the town lay silent 210 people dead
Every home every structure ever shed
The survivors like the living dead lay them in shallow unmarked graves
Tears stained the earth Does Jesus save?
Like there husband
Like their fathers and sons
They marched on down Carpenter road
Never to return never looking back
This country road doesn’t go any ware
It just dances with the trees caught up in the breeze
Can’t you here
Here comes another summer storm.
I can hear the footsteps down Carpenter road
